Mann, M.D.
Dr. Jeffrey Mann is a native of Oakland, and has been practicing Orthopedic
Surgery in Oakland for 10 years. After completing his orthopedic residency at
UC San Francisco, Dr. Mann did two subspecialty fellowships, one in sports
medicine and a second in foot and ankle surgery. His practice consists of
general orthopedic surgery, with special interest in sports medicine problems of
the knee and ankle, and complex foot and ankle reconstruction. He performs
total hip and total knee replacements, using minimally-invasive techniques. He
has been trained in the Ilizarov technique for complex leg, foot and ankle
deformities and non-healing fractures Dr. Mann has published book chapters and scientific papers about
numerous topics, including ankle arthroscopy and cartilage repair techniques,
bunion repair, and ankle ligament injuries. Dr. Mann lectures regularly at
orthopedic meetings across the country, and is a national expert in cartilage
repair techniques and ankle replacements. Dr. Roger Mann and Dr. Jeffrey Mann are pioneering a new total ankle replacement
for use in the United States.Dr. Mann is a team physician for the University of California at Berkeley sports
teams. He also volunteers at the students’ clinic at UC Berkeley. He spends
most of his free time with his wife and three children, when he isn’t running,
hiking or backpacking. |
