The American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society: The most
comprehensive website focusing on both adult and pediatric foot and ankle
problems.
You can browse through topics
and subtopics of foot and ankle
symptoms, diagnoses, and
treatments. Look under “The
Foot Center” tab on the home
page, for a glossary of common
foot/ankle terms.
National Institute of
Arthritis and Musculoskeletal
and Skin Diseases: A high-quality website that
is user-friendly, covering a
broad range of orthopaedic and
skin disease topics.
Either type a topic into the
search box, or scroll through
the alphabetically-listed
disease topics.
OrthoSupersite.com: A
website that includes recent
orthopaedic related journal
articles, geared toward a
medical mind.
Orthoseek.com: A website of pediatric
orthopaedic and sports medicine
topics.
Click on the “Orthopaedic
topics” tab on the home page,
and browse the different topic
listings.
MayoClinic.com: An excellent resource for all types of health
conditions, including orthopaedic ones.
Click on a topic from the list
of conditions on the home page.
The bonus with this website is
that there is a “symptom
checker” option, which allows
you to input your symptoms, and
then asks you questions, to help
determine the most likely
diagnosis.
